The first you have to start this tour from Malang in the morning to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall until it finish and head back to your hotel in Malang to prepare for Bromo midnight tour and following the tour program.
Bromo midnight tour will be started at 12.15 am from your hotel and direct driving to Cemara Lawang village which is located in the Bromo area. Arrive at Cemara lawang village and then switching you car into 4WD to take you up to the Bromo Sunrise view point.
From Seruni point and then go down to the Bromo Caldera for hiking the Volcano. It takes about 20 minutes in the jeep and will stop at near Pura Luhur Poten – Hinduism temple. Take by walk about 20 minutes to reach the Bromo summit and see the magnificent of the Bromo Volcano with noisy from the magma chamber.
After Bromo then continue driving to Bondowoso. It is the nearest regency from Ijen area and you will be overnight in the hotel at this area. Ijen Crater tour commonly depart at 03.00 am from your hotel. But if you want to see Ijen Blue Fire, you must leave your hotel earlier at 12.00am.

Drive in the car for about 2 and half hours to reach the Ijen Trekking basement. Before starting the trekking, you will have time for a morning coffee and tea ant nearest cafeteria at Ijen.
Prepare your stuff before leaving such as; shoes, long sleeves, warm jacket and some bottle of water – water is included. Then following the guide instruction about how to use the gas mask and make sure your headlamp works well – if you have your own you can set it up.
On the way up to the hill, you will meet some locals with the bamboo basket on their shoulders and some trolley – the Sulphur miners. They start for working at 03.00 am until 09.00 am at Ijen to breaks the sulfur rocks and giving a trolley service to visitors – extra charge involved.

Leaving early morning the temperature is more fresh both color and the view of the waterfall. We recommend you to leave from hotel in Malang or Surabaya at 06.00am. You can ask your hotel to prepare your breakfast box. Getting through the winding road and the view of local village makes the journey is amazing. It will take about about 2 and a half hour driving from Malang city center and 3 and half hour from Surabaya to Tumpak Sewu parking area.
Once arrive at parking area, prepare your stuff such as short pants, shoes, and camera/phonecell-cover with waterproof protection. You will be hiking with a local guide to reach the first view point of waterfall. You will be welcomed by an impressive view of semi circled waterfall with mount Semeru as the background.
The path is not well paved. You will get through the narrow path and bamboo stairs to reach the base of the waterfall. Make a picture as much as you want and enjoy the freshness from the waterfall. Afterwards, visit the Goa Tetes or Drops Cave in English. It is located on the next of Tumpak Sewu waterfall.
Once back in the car, you will have lunch to refill you energy at the small food shop before continue to Cemara Lawang Village. This village is located nearby Bromo area. You will overnight here before joining sunrise tour on the next morning.

The Bromo sunrise tour starts early morning at 03.00 am from your accommodation to the sunrise view point. The jeep will take you to the view point for about 30minutes in a 4WD car. You will be standing on the sunrise spot named the Kingkong Hill which is 2600m above sea level. Arrive at sunrise view point about 03.30am.
Before bromo sunrise, you may have a cup of coffee or tea in the small stall on this area as morning break and its included. The sun rises at 5.30 am, and when it comes, its time for you to fill your memory card with the awesome scenery of Bromo mountain range.
Mount Bromo is the lowest 2.329m above sea level. It can be marked that Mount Bromo is the smoky one. The next is Mount Batok and its not an active volcano. Other mountain is the highest named Semeru. It is the holy and the highest mountain in East Java which is the altitude is 3.676m above sea level.
After enjoy the Bromo sunrise, the jeep will bring you down to the Bromo Caldera (sea of sand). A long the way down you can ask the jeep driver to stop anywhere if you see a good spot to make a picture.
Your jeep will stop nearby Poten Temple and you start doing a smooth trekking to Bromo Crater. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the top and enjoy the view from the rim of mount Bromo. After trekking to Mount Bromo and then heading back to the car and have breakfast at the nearest restaurant at Bromo area.
The tour continue driving to Bondowoso for Ijen. You will be staying at hotel in Bondosowo which is the closest regency from Ijen area. The tour for the second day is done from here and free program. Preparing for Ijen Crater tour

Preparing tour for Ijen Crater. Leaving from hotel at 03.00 am and direct driving to Paltuding (ijen’s parking lot) about 1,5 hours. Prepare your stuff which are necessary to bring to hike mount Ijen such as shoes, long sleeves, long pants, widproof jacket and headlamp. You can leave some of your stuff in the car.
You will get through the smooth track within 3km length to reach Ijen summit. The track is divided into; first 200m semi-flat, second 150m steep and the rest is more flat. Along the way you will find and walk with sulfur miner and local service for “ijen-taxi”. Sulfur miner starts working early morning from 03.00am and finish at 09.00am.
You will reach the summit about 05.00am and its time to enjoy one of the greatest of acidic lake on earth with its beauty color. Around 08.00am leaving Paltuding then further driving to Ketapang Ferry Port (Java). Cross the Bali strait and your private Bali driver will greet you at the exit gate of the Ferry port in Bali. They will drop you off at your accommodation in Bali as well. The trip is finished and see you on the next journey on Java.
