Ijen Crater and Sukamade Tour (2D1N)

The Ijen crater trip will depart from Banyuwangi at midnight. Meanwhile, the Sukamade tour has concluded following the Ijen Volcano excursion. This journey can last 2 days and 1 night, and travelers will be dropped off at the Ferry Port of Ketapang.

Overview

The homestay in Sukamade turtle beach tour is simply. As an additional information that, Sukamade is located in remote area. We let you know that in Sukamade is possible no signal of cellular phones, no internet access and electricity on at 06.00 pm to 10.00 pm. It doesn’t have a big problem if travellers love adventure and close to nature.
Tour Itinerary
- Day 1 | Ijen - Sukamade
- Departure time : 03.00 am (Banyuwangi)
- Pick up from hotel / meeting point using minibus
- Explore Ijen Crater - Sukamade
- Temperature : Dry season will be at 4 degrees Celcius (July - August)
The driver will meet you at your accommodation in Banyuwangi and drive directy to Paltuding (ijen’s parking lot) is around 1.5 hours. Arrive at the parking location and prepare the items you need to bring. Many local sulfur miners can be found along the path leading up to Ijen’s top. They begin work at 03.00 a.m. and work until 09.00 a.m.
Around 05.00 a.m., reach the summit and marvel at one of the world’s most beautiful acidic lakes. Leave Paltuding around 8:00 a.m. and continue traveling to your next destination. Continued driving to Sukamade with following for about 3 hr to reach Pesanggaran regency and then stop at simply restaurant and lunch time with the menu of Indonesian cuisine.
Furthermore, the trip continue to Sukamade and it takes about 3 hr driving 4WD jeep to get through the low-land tropical forest. Along the trip is possible to enjoy the view around and relaxing with the sound of tropical forest. Arrive at Sukamade homestay around 04.00 pm and free program.
Note: Please take in account, National Park announce that travellers are not allowed to go down to the crater, but if you want to go, that will be your own risk. We recommend to follow your guide instruction if you want to do that. (Blue fire tour required a good weather). The Blue Fire tour departs at 12 am from Banyuwangi.

- Departure time : 06.00 am from Sukamade lodge
- Take a walk to the beach about 500 meter
- Explore Sukamade
- Temperature : Dry season will be at 28 degrees Celcius (July - August)
You could participate in the program that releases baby turtles on to the beach in the early morning. The best experience is when seeing them back to the sea and hoping their fortune in the ocean. The ranger will be in charge of this outing. All visitors return to the guesthouse for breakfast after release turtle baby (tukik) on the beach. At 7:00 am, leave Sukamade and continue driving to the last drop-off location.
